Will's a keeper! Under-11 shot-stopper joins Argyle's academy

Everyone at Saints Southwest sends huge congratulations to Under-11s goalkeeper Will, who has recently joined the Plymouth Argyle Academy following a successful trial.

Will's dad Steve said: "We just wanted to say a BIG thank-you for Saints Southwest's support in everything they have done for Will’s development. He’s loved his time with Saints."

Mike Berry, Football Development Manager at Saints Southwest, added: "The Saints Southwest team would like to congratulate Will on his successful trial with Plymouth Argyle Academy.

"Will has been absolutely incredible since joining Saints Southwest. His performances on the pitch have been amazing as well as always displaying the Saints values off the pitch, which is so important to us.

"I'm once again very proud of our coaching team and Football Development pathway for supporting Will with his development.

"Special mentions must go to our goalkeeper coach Jay, who has always been fantastic in supporting Will's progression, our U11s coach Kai and also last season's coach Ben.

"We look forward to trying to score against you in the next Rep Game Will!"

Saints Southwest Director Adam Hayman has recently taken on an additional role as Head of Academy Recruitment at Plymouth Argyle.

He said: "It's fantastic to see such a talented player progress from our Saints Southwest Football Development pathway into Plymouth Argyle's Academy.

"Will's progression is a fantastic way of highlighting how my new role at Argyle can be a great thing for players who are impressing within the Saints Southwest Football Development programme."
