
We ask that all children are dressed ready for sport and appropriately for the weather. Shorts, t-shirts and football socks are recommended, but tracksuit bottoms and tops are also suitable. Shin pads are essential, your child may not be able to take part in some (or all) of the activities if they do not bring shin pads. In cold weather, we recommend layers, so that your child can take off/put on extra layers if they get too hot or cold. Please bring footwear suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. For sessions that take place on grass, we recommend football boots during the winter months, although Astroturf or moulded boots may be sufficient during the summer months. For sessions that take place in a sports hall please wear suitable trainers or Astroturfs. Football boots are not permitted for use indoors. Without correct footwear your child may be refused access to parts or all of the lesson.

Saints Southwest will endeavour to keep the children playing Sport for as long as possible during all of our sessions. If our coaches or school deem the weather too wet or dangerous to play sport safely then contingencies are put in place to ensure all sessions continue to take place. If the school does not have a suitable indoor venue for sporting activity to take place, then classroom based activities will be delivered which may include fitness sessions, quizzes, competitions or other such football-themed games.

Benefit from expert football coaching for players of all ages, aiming to develop your strengths and improve the weak areas of your game. Ideal for isolating skill and technical weaknesses and following programmes to improve these areas in a positive environment, free from pressure or fear of failure.
All sessions are 45-minute sessions with the player working 1 to 1 with a coach. This can be on a specific area or sessions on all-around technique and gameplay.
Confidence – regular positive feedback and signs of self-improvement

Shooting – varied techniques and the power behind a shot
