Can I stay to watch my child's session?

We do allow parents to stay and watch the sessions, should they wish and the school permits entry. Parents & Guardian must adhere to out Spectator Code of Conduct at all time.

Question 2

What should my child wear?

Accepted Answer

We ask that all children are dressed ready for sport and appropriately for the weather. Shorts, t-shirts and football socks are recommended, but tracksuit bottoms and tops are also suitable. Shin pads are essential, your child may not be able to take part in some (or all) of the activities if they do not bring shin pads. In cold weather, we recommend layers, so that your child can take off/put on extra layers if they get too hot or cold. What footwear should my child bring?

Accepted Answer

Please bring footwear suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. For sessions that take place on grass, we recommend football boots during the winter months, although Astroturf or moulded boots may be sufficient during the summer months. For sessions that take place in a sports hall please wear suitable trainers or Astroturfs. Football boots are not permitted for use indoors. Without correct footwear your child may be refused access to parts or all of the lesson.

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes, we offer discounts. We offer sibling discount, to gain access to this please ring the office on 0330 2234 932. Saints Southwest also run various promotions throughout the year. We also have a Financial Support Programme in place for those in less fortunate situations, which can be applied for via our Financial support page.

What is the ratio of coaches to children?

Ratios differ depending on the type of session delivered but typically are 1 coach : 16 children.

- Children aged (2-4) 1:12  (Parents & Guardians must stay with their children for every session)
- Children aged (4-6) 1:12
- Children aged (7-11) 1:14
- Children aged (12-16) 1:16
- Children aged (16+) 1:16

Can my child have a taster session?

We currently offer taster sessions on all our Education and Community sessions. Please click here to book.

We offer FREE taster/trial session to ensure both child and parent are happy, with the environment/type of session being applicable to the child.

Question 7

What happens if it rains?

Accepted Answer

Saints Southwest will endeavour to keep the children playing Sport for as long as possible during all of our sessions. If our coaches or school deem the weather too wet or dangerous to play sport safely then contingencies are put in place to ensure all sessions continue to take place. If the school does not have a suitable indoor venue for sporting activity to take place, then classroom based activities will be delivered which may include fitness sessions, quizzes, competitions or other such football-themed games.

What are Virtual Coaching Sessions?

A unique opportunity to utilise modern and web-based technology. Following an initial consultation, our coaches can design and tailor a specific 1 to 1 training via an online regime which will enable the player to develop and improve under professional guidance.

1. Complete the online financial support application
 
2. Submit the application form, adding as much information as possible to support your application.
 
3. Wait for feedback. The team will review the application and reach out via the email provided in the form with feedback and outcome of the application.
 
*Please note, we recommend that you upload proof of your financial position e.g. P60, P45, self assessment, payslips, bank statements.

How long does the application decision take?

Completing the application online, will mean it will reach us as soon as it has been submitted. Our administration team will then review your application, and aim to get a decision back to you with 5-10 working days.

ABOUT
Benefit from expert football coaching for players of all ages, aiming to develop your strengths and improve the weak areas of your game. Ideal for isolating skill and technical weaknesses and following programmes to improve these areas in a positive environment, free from pressure or fear of failure.
All sessions are 45-minute sessions with the player working 1 to 1 with a coach. This can be on a specific area or sessions on all-around technique and gameplay.
