Cornwall Grassroots Tournament 2023 - U9

General

• There will be 16 spaces available
• The top 8 teams in the respective leagues will go into the Cup
• The bottom 8 teams in the respective leagues will go into the Plate
• Winning teams of the Cup will receive a team trophy and medal/certificate each
• Winning teams of the Plate will receive a team trophy and medal each
• Runners up will receive a medal each
• All players will receive a participation certificate

Rough Overview of the day

• (8.30 am - 9.00 am) Teams arrive for registration and team photos
• (9.15 am - 9.30 am) Managers meeting/briefing
• (9.30 am - 9.40 am) Expectations/standards for the day
• (9.40 am - 9.55 am) Teams warm-up
• (10.00 am - 1.00 pm) 2X Group stage
• (2.00 pm - 3.00 pm) Semi-finals and finals
• (3.00 pm - 3.15 pm) Presentation - Trophies, Medals and Merchandise

Rules

• The game duration will be confirmed in the tournament pack sent out two weeks before
• 3 points for a win
• 1 point for a draw
• 6-aside (MAX SQUAD SIZE 10 PLAYERS) | 50% Playing time for all players
• Standard mini-soccer rules apply; normal goal kicks, normal throw-ins and corner kicks.
• Shin pads MUST be worn.
• In the event of a goal kick, the opposition side must retreat to the halfway line.
• In the event of a penalty, all players other than the penalty taker and goalkeeper must be outside of the box.
