The Saints Southwest TEAM will be taking on the 3 Biggest Peaks in UK, in a 24 hour period. This years chosen charity is Action for Children.
Action for Children protect and support children and young people, providing practical and emotional care and support, ensuring their voices are heard, and campaigning to bring lasting improvements to their lives. Last year, we helped more than 387,000 children and families across the UK.
The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, often within 24 hours. The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft) - twice the ascent of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, over a similar total walking distance.
Mark Titchard, Saints Southwest Director ..'This is a great challenge for the Saints Southwest team this year, testing the mental resilience, physical stamina and team work to the limit for a great cause which help and support so many young people from all 'walks' of life....these young people are everyones future and we all have a duty to ensure they have the best start in life.'
