Saints Southwest have a unique and proactive Goalkeeping section, where getting young people who have a natural interest in goalkeeping can learn and develop their skills and knowledge in this position specific programme.

Participation is always at the heart of every we do, which is no different for our goalkeeping programmes, where we have key community goalkeeping only sessions, with a unique goalkeeping development programme where goalkeepers can progress further. 



These sessions are designed to provide an enjoyable start into sport and football where they can develop their skills.

1 to 1 or small group goalkeeping coaching allows the player(s) and coach to form a unique understanding of what is needed to progress to the next level within the players' development.


Following an initial consultation, our coaches can design and tailor a specific 1 to 1 training regime which will enable the player to develop and improve under professional guidance.



Aimed at ALL young aspiring Goalkeepers aged 5-12 years old. The position-specific course will cover all aspects of the Saints Southwest Goalkeeping syllabus, suitably challenging young and enthusiastic goalkeepers of all abilities. Components include handling technical practices, shot stopping, footwork drills, distribution techniques from both hands and feet, communication and fun games.


These camps run concurrently with our Soccer School, allowing the opportunity to implement everything practised into a match environment.


ALL sessions are ​ delivered by an experienced FA qualified Goalkeeper Specialist at an affordable price. 

Time: 10.00am - 3.00pm

The Goalkeeping Development Centres offer a chance for all goalkeepers wanting to take the goalkeeping knowledge and ability to the next level. Goalkeepers will work through the structure Goalkeeping specific syllabus each term. 


These sessions are based around individual needs of the players and demands of the game, ensuring all areas we regard as important - technical, physical, social and psychological are focused on.



For those Post 16 Colleges who run a football and coaching programme alongside a full or part time study programme, Saints Southwest offer a cost effective way in facilitating the needs to have a designated Goalkeeping coach.


The Goalkeeping coach will be signposted to your training programme to support the goalkeepers within it, offering them technical, function and feedback support to aid their development.
